I own spitfires with this engine and have not had any problems. I have problems with my 948 in my sprite right now. I think it is all on how you take care of the engine. Who knows what the PO did (or didn't) do. -----Original Message----- Not wanting to arm the war but why would anybody buy an MG with a Triumph engine? Would you buy a Chevy if it had a Ford engine? Would you buy a Rolls Royce with a VW engine....Never mind now that VW owns RR. I know several people who own a sunbeam with a Ford engine and they don't mind. I think it was called the Sunbeam Tiger. Bill Miller |
