Anybody replace a door check strap lately? On my '72 Midget, the driver-side strap broke. I was able to unscrew the end that fastens to the inside of the door frame. I had to fish out the part that was inside the door itself. That "appears" to be just a strap with a metal end attached by a single rivet. Is that correct? Do I just make up a new one, rivet on the old end piece, and stuff it into the slot in the door? Izzat it? Is there a source for these straps? chuck -- ===================================================== chuck ciaffone chuckc@ibm.net |
