Hey! To remove the pilot bushing from my 1275, I used a very small chisle -- ground down from an old screw driver blade. Maybe 3/16" wide and ground VERY sharp. I just tapped it with a hammer to chisle a slot along the length of the bushing, in toward the engine, till the bushing split. Then I just peeled it up and out.
