And an early Herald gearbox at that! That means you've got (assuming the  
internals are original to the box) a helluva stump-puller first, and a really  
wide space between second and third.
 
948 Herald gearbox: 4.271 (1st), 2.46 (2nd), 1.454 (3rd), 1.0 (4th)
1200 Herald & Spit 1-3 gearbox: 3.75 (1st), 2.16 (2nd), 1.4  (3rd), 1.0 (4th)
