In the madness several years ago that was my Lucas ignition module failing, I 
changed out the coil. I don't know if it's a 6v or 12v coil. It was picked up 
at a local auto parts store. On a '79 spit, don't they use 6 volt coils?

I'll take off my current coil and see if there's anything. I might have the 
label on it upside-down.
