My immediate thought is that something is missing from this story. When the engine is shut off, the fuel pump is shut off (if mechanical), so there is no supply of gasoline to overwhelm the float and continue filling the bowl to enable overflowing. So it seem something is missing from the story here. Do you have an electric fuel pump that is failing to shut off? Do you have a heat percolation problem from the exhaust manifold? |
