With that sort of design, you will most likely not see any benefit. The
lip radius is inadequate and will result in the same eddy problems at
the edge that the stock carburetor has.

With these, the air flows smoothly in from all directions. These are
probably machined in the exact specifications Dave Vizard shows in his
dyno studies regarding ram pipes.
As for what sort of needle you need, start with what you've got and see
what it shows you needing. No one can just tell you off the cuff what
sort of needle the ram pipe you've purchased is going to cause you to
need.
