Hi,

I hope it's okay to post cars for sale here.

I'm the second owner of a 1969 GT6+. The car was a
daily driver for me throughout college and a few years
after. I always kept the car in a garage, as did the
original owner in Alabama. Before I parked it (before
marriage and kids), I often drove a couple of hundred
miles each weekend, and made several 600+ mile trips
between Atlanta and St. Louis. The car was always
reliable. Since 1995, I have only driven the car two
or three times a year-- with two kids I just don't
have the time and it's just too small.

I would still consider the car a daily driver, but
it's been stored for 8 years, so it needs
tune-up/check-up before a long road trip. The car is
all original-- 4 speed, no overdrive, light yellow
(Jasmine 034 paint code). The engine has over 100,000
miles but still runs well. I replaced the timing chain
a few years ago and rebuilt the carbs, but not much
else. The rear suspension bushings need replacing. The
tires are 165/70 13" in good condition, bolt-on wheels
with the mag style hubcaps.

There is a dent on the left rear fender which happened
in a parking lot. The best local body shop quoted
$290.00 to pull out the dent and respray without
drilling the metal. The original owner was involved in
a collision on the front passenger side, but the frame
was not damaged and the repair exceptional, so it's
impossible to tell without raising hood and seeing
where the new headlight cowl was welded. Consequently,
most of the paint is original and still has its
luster. There is a quarter sized rust spot on the
front fender, and the battery box needs replacing, as
the bottom is mostly gone. The frame and rest of the
car are very solid.

On the interior, the seats are in fair condition-- the
center cushions are in great shape, but the side
bolsters need recovering. The seats are the high-back
non-reclining seats. The original carpet it showing
wear, especially in the back luggage area. The car
still has the original eagle-goodyear spare. I
replaced the cardboard transmission tunnel with a
fiberglass one.

If there's interest, I'll try to get some pictures
posted this weekend. If you have any questions, please
email me. I'm in St. Louis, MO.

Thanks,

Chip Jones
