For what it's worth, my '80 Spit had the single logo facing right, but with
three positions as you have.

Subject: Headlight Switch
Dear All,
If I haven't posted for a while, it is because I have been working on
Carly (whose MOT expires tomorrow). I've put in over a hundred hours
of work so far this year, and she still needs a bit of welding to get
her right. :-(
My question for you all this evening relates to the rocker switch in the
middle of the dashboard. Carly is a November '77 car (FM105671), with
the TR7-style controls on the steering column. The light switch which
she has had since I got her has three positions: Off; Sidelights Only;
and Headlights/Sidelights. The switch itself bears only a single logo,
that of a headlight, facing right. The replacement switch I have just
bought is also a three position switch, but has two logos (facing left),
for each of the two different "On" positions. The books suggest that
she should have a simple On/Off rocker switch with a single logo. What
is really correct?
Enquiring minds want to know...
ATB
