Steve,

I've installed MX5 (English for Miata) seats into my Spit - see
http://www.totallytriumph.net/dcforum/DCForumID3/93.shtml#1 for my views on
the results of the installation. Basic summary is that I would be very
happy with the installation, BUT the seat bases are both thicker and sit
slightly higher, so where I did just fit comfortably in my car, I now don't
really - particularly with the hard-top on (as I have at the moment). But I
am 6'2".

I used the installation method described by Paul Tegler - see
http://www.teglerizer.com/triumphstuff/miataseats/index.html for his
instructions, which should be all you need.

Don't know how much the seats go for in the US - I called a number of
scrappies and got quotes from #50 ($75) to #200 ($300), all for standard
black cloth seats (no headrest speakers, which were never fitted to UK spec
cars, but are present on a lot of cars imported from Japan and Europe).
Needless to say I went for the #50 ones.

Good luck!

Richard & Daffy
