Brian,

Could it be that the pinch bolt for the clutch slave cylinder was not done
up tight enough?  If so, repeated use of the clutch (over the first day when
it was working fine) could have moved the slave cylinder backwards, so that
now it is not pushing the clutch far enough.

Just one idea!
