Yes, the older Spits had a third column-mounted stalk.
The required parts (the stalk switch and the special two-stalk mounting base)
may be easier to find than the special shifter knob, switch, and shift lever.
So somebody doing a conversion could be better off adding the old-style
switch instead of the knob switch.
