John asked, about halogen headlights:

...Anyone know if the conversion is hard or do or not?...

This is a reasonably straight-forward job - it involves doing exactly what
you would do to replace a broken standard sealed-beam headlight, except that
you install the halogen unit where the sealed-beam bulb went. I seem to
remember removing the cast metal headlamp surround to do this - my only
problem was that there was so much rust around the front of the bonnet
(water no doubt seeps in between the surround and the sheet metal
underneath, then sits there doing its evil work) that there wasn't a lot to
screw the surround back down to! Allow an hour absolute max, I would say
(should take a LOT less, but you should always have contingency!).

With Daffy as a year-round daily driver, and some quiet country roads on my
route, I needed as much light as I could get! I agree with James that,
while the halogens are an improvement, they still do not get close to some
modern cars.
