Hey Sean. Brad's right, the insurance company of the offending party will
screw you every chance they get. They don't care about you or how costly your
repairs are going to be, the are in bussiness to make money period. The
advise Brad gives is probley the best route you can take. Also I will add
that if the Spitfire is still driveable take it to three different body shops
and get estimates on the damage. It's easy for a adjuster to say the damage
is X amount of dollars but it may not be enough for the repairs. A least you
know what it's going to cost and you can speak up and say "I know it has X
amount of dollars of damage because I checked with the local shops." In any
case it can't hurt. I'm very sorry that you have to go through all this and I
hope you get your Spitfire back in good shape again soon.
