The car is finally (almost) back together. I connected the electricals and
tested the gearbox while the car was still on jack stands. It did make
a lot of distressing noises with the wheels spinning in the air while I
was going throught the gears.
I drove the car tonight without the tunnel cover. I don't know
if this is because the clutch is new, it was a little harder to engage
1st and 2nd gear. I also noticed the friction point is much lower on
the clutch pedel travel. It was also surprisingly warm in the car
driving without the tunnel cover in 9C Montreal weather.
There was no visible oil leak and the all gears worked plus the overdrive.
But there was some whirling noises from the gearbox I didn't notice before,
but that can be because I didn't have the tunnel cover on. All in all
I pretty satisfied with the excerise. Thanks for everyone for there inputis
and support.
