Hi,

Most of the shop manuals show a diagram for a simple circuit for static timing
a spit engine to get it running. This circuit is obviously for an ignition
with a standard point setup in the distributor and appears to use the contact
points as a open/close switch for the circuit.

Does anyone have a diagram for a spit rigged with a Crane optical ignition
that will allow static timing of the engine. IOW, what serves as the switch
in an optical system?

Thanks folks.
