I don't want to take the handle off of the car. I want
to remove the hand-grip from the end of the hand brake
lever. (I knew I was going to confuse people, the way
I asked.)

Now, if taking the handle off of the car fist makes it
easier, then by all means I will. But is there a way
to take the grip off of the handle?

I just tried tapping it off and that was a no-go. This
thing must be pressed on with a bearing press.
