Personally, I NEVER bid until the last couple of minutes. Bidding any
sooner just jacks the price up.
Even if you put in a 'max bid' and let their system work it for you.
Someone else could also have a max bid in the works.
Not that I've bought that much, but have picked up a few items over the
last two years.
