Please help! When using MGB rod bearings in a Spitfire 1500 engine I know I must file the outside edge of the locator tang which I've done. Do I have to remove any material from that side of the bearing. I've layed the bearing on the crank journal and there's about 1/16" clearance on each side. There is a small amount of the bearing that extends over the chamfer of the rod on the tang side. Thanks! Larry |
