Subject: Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise

Picked up a copy of the Dec '00 issue of Cars & Parts. On p 22 is an
article about the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise. Picture one shows cars
lined up four abreast waiting for the light to change. There's an F-150, a
'55 Chevy Bellaire, a '68 Camero and what appears to be a red Spit-6! This
one has a center hood bulge similar to a GT-6, perhaps a little larger. The
center section of the bumper was removed with only chrome bumpers extending
from the over-riders to the fenders. So the question is: Is this anybody
from the list? Anybody else make the Woodward Avenue cruise this year?

Chris

Hi Chris,

Not sure who owns the Spit-6 you are talking about. There are
several of them here in the Detroit area. My wife and I have
been on the cruise the last 3 years, but we go up on Friday night,
as my wife has a sensitivity to the sun. This year was nuts even
on Friday. My left leg was getting sore from the clutch, and
my right was sore from the awkward angle my knee makes. Took
us 2 1/2 hours to go a little over 2 1/2 miles. We finally turned
off when the police started to close down Woodward.

Cheers,

Doug
