I have yet to understand Air Conditioning in a 70 HP Sports Car !
I read someplace that the "REAL" Sports Cars died when they put roll up
windows in the things.
Now you have A/C, CD's, P/C's, and GOD knows what's next.
Someone asked me a question about a radio in my 71, I told them a well tuned
engine @ 3,500 RPM running down a two lane is all the music I need !
Purist's UNITE !!!

I have seen air conditioning installed in a Spitfire, and it worked well.
Many years ago I took such a Spitfire out for a test ride. Alas, my
mechanical skills were minimal, so I elected to purchase another more
reliable car instead. I really wish I had purchased that Spitfire, as it
was quite unique (unbeknownst to me at the time). It had a leather interior
and I believe 4 wheel disc brakes, as well as that air conditioning. God
only knows what else it had.
