John, but does it do anything over stock late Triumph in the area of
performance is the question. Any idea?

FWIW - a local chap has been digging through one of our "recycling yards"
and collecting late series Japanese electronic ignition/distributors and
playing with them on his Spitfire and a GT-6. He has come up with a setup
that appears to work VERY well, looks stock and which can be obtained in
great quantities at junk yards all over the country. He is putting together
a complete instruction sheet with all the numbers and I will keep the list
informed of its availability. It appears that it is about a 1 or 2 hour
conversion that works great at just a few bux of cost and universal
replacement parts availability, even in rural areas.
