For the rear engine mounts, remove the transmission
cover. Unbolt the rear mounts. Put a board under the oil
pan and jack it up. This will lift the tranny enough to
remove and replace the rear mounts. Lower the jack
slowly while ensuring that the rear mounts go back
in place.
As far as the speedo cable goes, did you make sure
that the connection on the speedo side actually
snapped into place? Sometimes you need to turn
the cable a bit while inserting it to have it go all
the way in.
