The problem with pumps is the suction side. They need a certain amount of pressure at the suction side (net positive suction head) to prevent cavitation (vapor forming due to the reduced pressure). The high pressure side is well within the limits of standard fuel lines, particularly when used in conjunction with a return pressure regulator which is more to prevent fuel bowl seat leakage rather than protect the fuel line. |
