You are probably right, Terry; as of tonight they haven't attacked the
Spit (which is in the same driveway as the Chev & Sonoma). They seem
particularly fond of the GMC-brand of that plasticky/papery
wire-loom/conduit that GM uses around their wire-bundles; maybe GM specs
should call for a little pepper in the wire-loom material.
My neighborhood has been loaded with squirrels for as long as I can
remember, but this is the first time they have ever homed in on my
vehicles - and disabling two in less than a month is a bit too much; it's
not only lowering my supply of electrical tape and splices, but (more
importantly) stealing time away from my feeble efforts at refurbishing my
scruffy Spit.
There are way too many of these rodents to effectively trap and remove
them. However, any squirrel-eating Marylanders (and all others) are more
than welcome to drop over and take away as many as they want
(U-catchem/U-carryem).
