my ford mustang has links to the p-51 (some say). so? I'd bet a kidney
that the ford and n.a. share the same amount of parts that the triumph and
supermarine share. (none) the link with ford is every bit as tenuous
as the link with triumph. (there is none whatsoever, except the _name_)

they wanted to sell lots of cars. 'spitfire' sells in g.b. good for
triumph, but we can do better.
