Thanks Earl!
I have a WWI style flight jacket that I wear-and wings! They're RAF style
wings with a little enameled Spitfire aeroplane in the center! People love
it!
And when I go to car shows, I usually have some Supermarine stuff mixed in
with the Triumph Spitfire stuff-and people respond greatly to the idea that
the car and the plane have the same name! It's really wonderful! So, not
only am I keeping this type of British motoring alive-and promoting these
wonderful cars-but, I'm also helping in my tiny way to keep the memory of
what these people did during the war. I love to win at shows-but I really
love this other feeling too.
I don't see how we could have a Spitfire club and not have Supermarine
content to it!
