Patrick,
It depends on the year, I think. I know that the original Federal dashes in
'69 (with the speedo and tach in front of the driver) were in fact, black
plastic. Then in either '70 or '71 (maybe later, I'm really not sure), the
factory moved over to the wood veneer versions.
