Well I hope that it is not the same with this top. I shipped it out to Carter
via Corporate Express after a lot of phone calls and driving around. Most
places wanted to charge by dimensional weight ($200+) not actual weight. Some
places wouldn't even talk to me once they found out I wasn't a 'known
shipper'. I crated it well and unless they drop it off the truck it should
end up in Orlando within a day or two intact. Building the crate cost nearly
$50, Corporate Express only wanted $35 to ship from their Des Moines terminal
to the Orlando Terminal. Nice people too. I'm not sure if I ever want to go
through it again, but if I do I'll call the people at Corporate Express. (no
financial interest, really! &:o)> )

I'd second patrick's idea, or go and get it yourself. unless this is a
later hardtop, and you can have them buy you another one just like it if
they destroy it in shipment, I _would_not_ ship it commercially. a guy on
the mustang list shipped an unobtainable svo mustang hood, only to have
u.p.s. destroy it. after many months, he got them to pay for part of what
he insured it for (with them), but even if he could get all them money
from them, there's nowhere he can buy another one.
moral: only ship cheap, easily replaceable stuff.
