Hello fellow listers. I am still having a small cooling problem with my 1979
Spitfire 1500 "Judas". I had the radiator repaired as the bottom was crushed.
It has no thermostat. I flushed the radiator and block. I also wired the fan
to a toggle switch because it was not running when it got hot. On my stock
gage it still reads past the ideal mark which would be the middle line. It
goes almost to the next line after the middle one. Is this normal or is there
something I'm not doing right? I know I need to put a thermostat it him but I
don't think that would be causing my problem. If nothing else is there a way
to convert over to a clutch fan and if so how much work would be involved?
Also is there a temp gage I can install that reads in numbers instead of
lines? Thanks in advance.
Jamie
