I just discovered that my 80 spit with an Allison after market electronic ignition has NOT had the ballast resistor bypassed. This means that the 12V coil AND the ignition module are running on 8V. I am almost sure that the ballast should be bypassed and that both the coil and the module should be getting 12V. Can someone with an Allison Ignition(and maybe the instructions) confirm this? Sam |
