You can take the entire cylinder out. There are various
ways that the cylinder connects to the steering column,
but a dremel and an impact screwdriver is very handy
for this. You'll see when you look at the assembly.
It's supposed to be theft resistant. The thread on the
bolt/crew is usually a standard pitch so if you damage it,
you should be able to find one.
Once the cylinder is out, should be able to figure out how
to remove the pins. If not, take that and your key to a
local locksmith and they'll do it for you. It's pretty
easy actually. As posted before, don't mix up the pins
or you'll spend a lot of time scratching your head. :)
