The other "good use up up front time" is to buy a manifold and plumb
some hoses to various parts of your shop, including the door so you can
inflate tires and sandblast outside.
It doesn't have to be fancy, mine is just some generic air hose
tucked up under the drywall with the quick connect exposed at the end.
I think it cost me about $40 to do the whole shop at the local
discount tools place. I hear all these discussions about "PVC versus
cast iron for air lines", but you know, $4 hose works too.
