Bob,
I've been using sand for years. And yes, you have to be very carful of it
as it WILL kill you. I don't use my external air supply (but probably
should). However, I do wear a 2 canister mask when using my blast cabinet
or pressure blasting. I also wear gloves and a full hood when pressure
blasting.
