Come to think of it, the muffler shop that put a new muffler on my TR3A for
me a few weeks ago has a 3-wide pit. Fellow welds down there and
everything. No idea how long the shop has been there, but it looks old and
the sign is faded almost to illegibility. I did see a portable fan, but it
wasn't running.
I suppose the real question is, how many people have been killed by grease
pit explosions, compared to how many have had cars fall on them from lifts
and whatnot. Everything is dangerous, even a cup of water can be lethal if
it's misused.
