This is also a classic failure in the flame detection loop for RHEEM
furnaces.
They detect the flame presence by conductivity between the ignitor ceramic
and a ground. As the ceramic ages, it loses its ability to keep the flame
relay
closed due to scale buildup. The fix is a free kit adding a flame
probe.........
