The one (Direct PC-same antenna as Direct TV, just a different receiver) I
used (and I believe most others as well) work fine for the "standard" user
but offer not much of an advantage for a server that is "sending" (as
opposed to a server that is "receiving" and perhaps sharing the connection
across the network).
Basically the outgoing requests travel by regular modem. The highspeed part
is only on the receiving end when the data flows back to your computer. This
works fine for the "regular" user since usually one http or ftp request is
relatively small in size when compared to the amount of data that is
returned as a result of that request.
