-> I would add to all that: Do not overlook the contact area between -> starter and block/bellhousing. If it is a RCH loose and maybe has -> some oil between the surfaces, the ground will be poor, or at best -> intermittent. I took the psychopathic route on my track car; the ground cable goes to the starter, then jogs off to the chassis.
