I'd vote for Permatex Aviation gasket goo. It is that stuff that you paint on and looks like tar. I use it on VW case halves and never have any leaks there. The reason I prefer it over RTV's is that you don't find pieces of it floating around in your oil like the RTV if you get too much on (and everybody does). This might not be as big an issue on a transmission as on a motor, but why take chances. |
