Either you mismeasured, or I did. I measured one, considering that option
for my '58. If I remember right, it was about 3-4 inches off.
You could make it work, by moving the spring mounts, and notching the frame,
but I didn't want to do all that. Of course, you'll have to redo all the body
mounts too. I my opinion, as Mr. Perry would say, it was going to end up too
"hacked up."
With a little imagination, time, and a good welder, you can make about
anything work.
