Sounds like a VERY unsatisfactory response. You pay your money, you have a
right to expect ALL the parts, unless they specify in their add that
commonly available misc. hardware is not included. Many times a vendor will
ask you to pick up common items. But they have an obligation to forwarn you.
I would ask to talk to a supervisor, or maybe see abt returning the kit in
