I've used CPES penetrating epoxy followed with a 2 part polyurethane varnish
on all my wood boats and have found it to be excellent. It has extended my
varnish cycle from every 6 months to almost three years. The polyurethane is
extremely tough and is also very easy to touch up if it does get dinged.
I plan to use it on my bed wood.
