Well I can only relate when I purchase my 53 chevy truck, I asked the guy
..Why was there a 2x4 pushing
down on the clutch..he said this prevents the clutch plate fusing to the
clutch assy. facing...the 2x4 was
against the bottom part of the seat and extended to the clutch pedal..Well I
guess it worked it was parked
outside for a couple of years...
