<< I don't know about the 216s but the dipper 235s had insert main bearings and poured rod bearings. >> 216 changed from poured babbit to insert mains in 1948. I believe the 235 did also for 1948. Rods stayed babit until the end of the 216 in 1953 Bob ADler oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
