Thanks for the offer Mike. I have an idea that may get the tranny in. I'm
going to give it a try tonight. The trans is in place but about "1-1/2 from
mating surfaces, a bit more on the bottom side. Going to remove a rear trans
mounting plate from the trans. Lowers the rear of the assembly. If I get it in
(getting splines aligned the trick) I'm home free. Just need the right angle.
Once bolted up I can jack up the rear of the trans and put the plate back in
place and from there I'm good. If it doesn't work you will hear from me.
Also got the kit for the nutserts. Should work fine.
