[question deleted]
I've had this problem on my '72 4/4 on which the indicators do not
always self cancel. The main problem is that the indicator warning
light is (a) rather dim, especially in sunlight, and (b) out of my
direct line of sight. What I intend to do over the winter is to
discreetly mount another warning light, wired in parallel to the
original, somewhere at the top of the steering column where I can't
miss seeing it.
