Hi Paul,

I'll watch more closely, but my impression has been that the tach still 
follows the engine.  The engine gets erratic, and so the tach gets erratic, 
but it still seems to properly reflect the engine...

I had a bouncing tach years ago (since resolved) and know what that looks 
like, and this isn't it.
