I went with some off brand 175/65HR14 tires on my 67BGT to replace the
165R14 tires. They work great but in retrospect I should have gone with
175/70HR14 if I had a choice. The 70 aspect is closer to the 165R14s, the
65 appears a bit smaller.
I am hesitant to go with 185s or 195s as they are a wider tire that may
effect clearances with the wheel well.
There are some sites on the web that will let you compare tires sizes and
aspect ratios in order for you to avoid a significant change to your
speedometer readings. Here are two:
