You might want to check toe in.  Your 77 B should not feel "too" light at
speed.  Too much toe out will result in the car feeling light, adding a bit
more toe in will help with tracking.  

Personally I think the LE spoiler is about the best thing you can do to the
Rubber Bumper front end.  It pulls the lines of the car together and takes
away the "weak chin" look.

When we installed one on my friend's 1980 I did not notice much difference
in handling, but the car never had a problem with lightness.


The biggest difference you can make to handling is to lower the car.  We
have a 1976 MGB here that belongs to the Tech Manager.  After installing 1"
lowered springs (actually lowered the car about 1.5") and the rear lowering
block kit the car was a changed animal.  The shorter stiffer springs added a
lot to the cars "tossability".  An interesting point for other 75-76 owners
is that the car still does not have a front sway bar, yet handles quite
well.
