Another way if you have roof trusses:
I haven't tried this one, but am thinking about it as I've got a TD to
do.
1) Jack the car up under the front cross member at the height you need
to put the jack under the A arms.
2) Block the front end up at that height
3) Wedge vertically a pair of 2/4's, or a single doubled one, between
the cross member and a roof truss.
4) Jack up the A arms as if an engine were in the car.
